I wonder how they know they 100% transporting drugs. Some of these boats could be decoys, or for argument sake, have bundles of flour or sugar. Or what if it’s just weed and not hard drugs like fentanyl or meth. It just seems like these guys are being the police, the judge, and the executioner, without even finding out what’s on the boat for sure. I mean all these boats most likely 100% all have drugs on them. But these guys aren’t even finding out. They’re just hitting them with reaper drones no matter what. Well I guess it should deter people from using boats to smuggle drugs in the near future. I’m not opposed to taking extreme measures to deter negative behavior.

We had a flight on BA 2202 on Monday 7th 7.40pm cancun to Gatwick and ours was delayed 2 hours due to the plane flagging the weight on the cargo was unbalanced lol, strange it’s the same plane number and same route with a cargo “issue”

I will let someone else correct me, but if they are telling you it is days to get back, find an alternate itinerary, even on another airline, and ask to be booked on it. I believe BA is required to rebook you on another airline per EU/UK rules if they cannot get you back within a reasonable timeframe.


Also, claim your 600 GBP from them as not having a couple reserve crew, especially within days of the event happening, is likely within their control per previous court rulings.

Five people were arrested in connection with a Mexico-based drug trafficking organization on Wednesday in Whatcom and Snohomish counties. One of the locations was on the 1500 block of Iron Street in Bellingham. The individuals will be charged federally, police said. 

In a multi-agency effort, the Whatcom Gang and Drug Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and others seized 85,000 fentanyl pills, 2.3 kilograms of fentanyl powder, 6.2 kilograms of meth, 1.1 kilograms of heroin, 5.1 kilograms of cocaine, five vehicles and $185,000. 

Law enforcement executed nine federal search warrants on Wednesday targeting the trafficking organization, which operates in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish counties, police said. This organization was primarily distributing fentanyl pills and powder in Whatcom County, police said. 

“The widespread availability of fentanyl throughout all parts of Whatcom County represents nothing less than a deadly scourge that has impacted too many individuals and families,” Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo said in a release.

Holy crap, one of my neighbors in Marietta was a dealer, apparently, and got arrested. We had 11 cop cars --all unmarked except for 2 CBP trucks--all day on Wed here, they came back after the arrest and boarded up all the doors and windows and left notes that the entire property and possessions have been seized.  This is NOT a crap neighborhood, I think he bought that house for around $1.3M a few years ago.

Good. Had someone die of a fentanyl OD two weeks back in an RV parked in front of my house, it was heart-breaking hearing his family sobbing in the street afterward. Wish I could get BPD or anyone from the city to come tow the vehicle so I don't have to remember watching the stretcher come out every time I look out my front window but at least it's ever so slightly less likely to happen again.

It's weird that you're blaming the homeless/crime/trash problem for this, but in reality, cartels are probably bringing in cocaine, heroin, mdma, etc for people with money to buy as party drugs

Not all people who are homeless are drug addicts or mentally ill. There is a housing crisis. Simply, there is no longer enough housing for how many people need homes. Many working class people cannot affords rentals or homes in this area anymore and classifying them all as “addicts” or “pawns” and saying you don’t have patience for it anymore is a pretty weird take. You are lucky to own/rent in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Bellingham and most of us are not that fortunate.

We had a friend when we were younger who was murdered for stepping into the cartel’s territory. He had a gunshot wound to the head. They don’t mess around. He was a great guy but got in over his head.
